Year 2 provides an in-depth foundation in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, clinical and communication skills, epidemiology and applied public health, psychology and sociology. These subjects are taught from a body-systems perspective focusing on the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, reproductive, renal and endocrine systems. The integrated case-based tutorials provide an opportunity, through group work, to integrate and apply your knowledge of these subjects and body systems to clinical cases which you will have opportunity to practice in Family Medicine and Clinical Experience, in preparation for your clinical attachments in Year 3.
"The Queen's medical graduate is a caring and compassionate doctor who is a critical thinker, problem solver and reflective practitioner with excellent clinical skills who values, above all else, service to patients.”
